Skin care routine

Hello my lovelies!

Today’s topic on the blog is my skin care. I am guessing I’m not the only one struggling to find perfect products that will help in the battle against acne. After watching numerous videos like morning routine and skin care routine and few visits to dermatologist I learnt that the less is better, to eat healthy, to drink a lot of water and to work out. Oh, and to always remove makeup before going to bed! With that being said, let me tell you something about products I currently use.

Goat milk soap | Eco product

First step to healthy skin is cleaning! I usually wash my face with soap made of goat’s milk. You have many varieties of this soap and I usually buy the one with honey or lavender because I like those the most. When it comes to the temperature of the water my sources say that water needs to lukewarm, so hot water isn’t good at all for our skin.

Milcellar water | Nivea

Micellar water is the second step. This is the moment when you realize that soap didn’t clean everything. This especially happens if I previously had makeup on my face. When it comes to choosing between toner and micellar water I picked the second. Why? Many toners have alcohol as an ingredient and they sting while micellar water is safe to use for areas around eyes.

Aqua sensation | Nivea

This is the last step. Moisturizing is the key to beautiful and healthy skin. My skin is really, really dry so I can’t allow myself to skip this step. Ever. My face gets itchy, sometimes red and it would be so tighten, in a bad way. This creme suits my skin perfectly. I love its smell, when you apply it you feel like it’s cooling down your face and it’s not heavy like the others. Skin is soft afterwards and ready to take on the world.

Hydrating your skin is important because I don’t know what is worse, the cold wind during the winter or the sun and water during the summer.

Skin refining scrub | Nivea

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I use this scrub only when I feel like my skin needs it (when I see old skin is peeling off) – maybe once a month. We don’t want to overuse a product just because it says it can be used 2-3 times a week.

What basically this scrub does: it refines and exfoliates skin by removing dead cells. Before applying the scrub your face needs to be wet, then you can apply the scrub in circular motion for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water afterward.

  10. My mom used to buy goat’s milk soap all the time, but just plain. It’s supposed to be really good for your skin, and yes the water temperature makes a big difference.
